PrimeCheck guide

What is your fitness age?

Fitness age is a simple way to compare how you perform today with what is typical across different ages. It can turn a handful of familiar movements into a more motivating question: how capable do you feel right now?

A useful comparison

Not how old you are. How you perform.

Different fitness-age methods use different inputs. Some rely on health measurements; others look at activity or exercise performance. That is why two fitness-age tools can produce different answers.

PrimeCheck focuses on simple physical performance signals you can complete at home. The goal is not to label you. It is to give you a clear baseline, spotlight the areas with room to grow, and make another assessment worth taking later.

Strength, mobility, endurance, balance, and cardiovascular capacity all matter as we age because they shape what you can comfortably do day to day. A result can be a useful nudge to keep the abilities you value in motion.

How to lower your fitness age

What PrimeCheck measures

Six practical signals of your current capacity.

PrimeCheck looks at these related performance areas. They are not a comprehensive health evaluation, and no single test tells your whole story.

  1. 01

    Lower-body strength

Your ability to stand, sit, climb, and keep doing the work of everyday life.

  2. 02

    Upper-body strength and endurance

How your upper body handles repeated pushing effort with an appropriate variation.

  3. 03

    Core endurance

Your ability to hold a steady, supported position for a period of time.

  4. 04

    Balance

How steadily you can control your position on one leg.

  5. 05

    Mobility

How comfortably you move through a simple, useful range of motion.

  6. 06

    Cardiovascular fitness

A low-equipment signal of how your heart and lungs respond to easy effort.

The PrimeCheck model

How your fitness age is calculated.

You complete guided at-home tests, then enter the results. PrimeCheck turns those inputs into category signals and a single 0–100 Prime Score.

Our comparison tables are clearly labeled as provisional age- and sex-based reference tables. They are intended to be updated and validated over time as appropriate evidence becomes available; they are not presented as clinical norms.

Your estimated Fitness Age reflects that provisional model and can vary with the tests you complete, how you feel that day, training experience, technique, and many individual factors. It is not medical advice or a medical assessment.

Use your result as a starting line: notice the category that has the most room to improve, choose a sustainable next step, and reassess when you are ready.

Fitness age FAQ

Straight answers. No miracle math.

Is fitness age the same as biological age?+

No. Fitness age is a performance-based comparison, while biological age is a broader concept that may involve laboratory measures, medical history, and other factors. PrimeCheck does not estimate biological age.

Can I lower my fitness age?+

You may improve the performance inputs that shape an estimate through consistent, appropriate training, recovery, and everyday movement. Results vary by person, and PrimeCheck is best used to notice progress rather than promise an outcome.

Do I need a gym or special equipment?+

No. PrimeCheck is designed for home using simple movements and everyday setup, such as a stable chair. Each test includes an alternative, modification, or skip option when it is not a fit for you.
