PrimeCheck action guide

How to lower your fitness age.

Do not chase a magic number. Improve the physical capacities that make life feel capable, then use a repeatable assessment to see how your baseline moves.

What you can change

Improve the signals behind the estimate.

Fitness age is shaped by how you perform—not by one perfect workout. Cardiovascular capacity, muscular strength, mobility, balance, and core endurance each contribute to how capable you feel and how you compare with a typical baseline.

The useful move is to find the weakest link you can train safely. If a brisk walk feels hard, start with aerobic consistency. If repeated chair stands are the limiter, add lower-body strength. If single-leg balance is shaky, practice it near support for a few focused minutes at a time.

PrimeCheck is built to help you notice those patterns. Learn how the Fitness Age estimate works, then turn your result into a training target instead of a label.

The performance map

Five areas worth building.

  1. 01

    Cardiovascular fitness

Your heart and lungs make everyday effort feel easier—whether that is climbing stairs, carrying bags, or keeping pace on a walk.

  2. 02

    Muscular strength

Strength supports the repeated work of standing, lifting, pushing, and getting up from the floor with control.

  3. 03

    Mobility and balance

Comfortable range of motion and steady control help you move with confidence through ordinary positions and transitions.

  4. 04

    Core endurance

A stable trunk helps you maintain posture and transfer force when you walk, carry, reach, and train.

A practical weekly playbook

Simple work done again and again.

Start where you are, choose a level you can recover from, and add a little difficulty only when it feels controlled.

  1. 01

    Build your aerobic floor

Aim toward roughly 150 minutes of moderate aerobic work each week, or 75 minutes of vigorous work. Start smaller if needed: three brisk 10-minute walks still count. Use a pace that raises your breathing while letting you speak in short sentences.

  2. 02

    Train strength twice weekly

Cover the big patterns with a challenging but controlled effort: sit-to-stands or squats, a push variation, a pull if available, a hip hinge, and carries. Two nonconsecutive sessions each week is a strong, sustainable starting point.

  3. 03

Add small mobility and balance doses

Spend five to 10 minutes most days on the positions you need: ankle and hip movement, supported single-leg balance, controlled reaching, and an easy plank variation. Frequency matters more than an occasional marathon stretch.

  4. 04

Recover like it is part of training

Leave room for sleep, easier days, protein-rich meals, hydration, and walks that do not feel like workouts. The goal is repeatable progress—not a single heroic week that leaves you too sore to continue.

Make it measurable

Train the inputs. Then retest the baseline.

PrimeCheck turns your at-home performance into a clear score and Fitness Age estimate, so you can see what your consistency is changing.
